Leaker Claims macOS Will Bring Redesigned UI, Improved Safari, More

Ahead of Apple’s opening keynote of WWDC 2020 later today, leaker @L0vetodream has shared some details about what the Cupertino company could possibly announce. The tweets are a bit cryptic in nature but they still manage to give us a hint of what to expect from iOS 14, the next version of macOS, and watchOS 7.

The leaker claims that for “Mac OS big sur,” Apple will be redesigning the UI and also introduce a massive update for Safari. He also confirms that there will be no new hardware announcements from Apple at its developer conference this year.

He also claims that contrary to rumors, Apple will not be renaming iOS to iPhone OS this year. As a part of the iOS 14 update, Apple will redesign the home screen, add widgets support, app a mini-apps feature called Clips, change the incoming call screen UI to ensure it does not take up the entire screen, and more.

As for iPadOS, the leaker claims that Apple will redesign the Sidecar experience and improve and “enhance hand written input.” The tvOS update will be a minor one and will allow one to monitor and control their HomeKit devices.

Lastly, for watchOS, the leaker tweets that Apple will redesign the home screen experience on the Apple Watch and allow one to share it with their friends or family using a link. The OS will also gain sleep tracking and hand wash monitoring features.
