iOS 14: Release date & new features coming to iPhone

When Will Apple Release iOS 14 Beta 2?

Apple today announced iOS 14 with a number of new features, improved Safari, and more. The first developer beta of the OS will be out shortly and public beta should start in the coming weeks. As for the final release date of iOS 14, the timeframe should be similar to the last few years.

iOS 14 Release Date

Apple did not mention the final release date of iOS 14 but the OS should release in fall as per the company’s announcement and as has been the case over the last few years. There are rumors that the iPhone 12 launch could be delayed to October this year, but it is unlikely that Apple will delay the release of the iOS 14 as well. iOS 14 focuses on usability improvements and does not really bring a lot of major new features so it is unlikely to be as buggy as iOS 13 which was a complete mess for the first couple of months after its release. iPadOS 14 should also be released to the public around the same time as iOS 14.

With iOS 14, Apple has not dropped support for any of the iPhones. This means iOS 14 supports the same set of iPhones as iOS 13.

iOS 14 comes with a new home screen experience, an improved Apple Maps, new CarPlay features, digital CarKey support, and more.

Apple will be releasing the first beta of iOS 14 later today so you can always install it on your iPhone if you wish to. The first beta is going to have a number of bugs but if you cannot wait to try out the new features in iOS 14, this is the only solution as of now. As for public beta, it will be available for iPhone 6s and newer from next month.
